One of our favorite things about Day Camp? Water Day! Every Friday, these campers cool off (and help their student-leaders cool off too) with water balloons, buckets, sponges, and more! We love seeing our campus alive and full of laughter during Summer at TCS! βοΈπ¦

On June 12, rising Trinity freshman, Ethan E., played at Williamsburg National in the US Junior Amateur Qualifier. He came in second place with an impressive score of 67, qualifying for the US Junior Amateur Tournament in Michigan, July 22-27. This is the most prestigious tournament for which amateur golfers can qualify.
This success follows the US Kids European Championship at the end of May. Ethan and Trinity classmate, Anthony P., both competed in this 3-day tournament at the Glen Golf Club in North Berwick, Scotland. Anthony tied for 15th place, and Ethan came in second, which qualified him to play a Ryder Cup-Style tournament at North Berwick West Links (one of the top 30 courses in the world).
We are so proud of Anthony and Ethan! Join us as we cheer Ethan on to victory later this month!
Wishing you and yours an amazing Independence Day!
Earlier this year, junior Evelyn T. and freshman Daisy J. made Trinity history by qualifying for the National Speech and Debate Association's National Speech and Debate Tournament. Two weeks ago, they finally got to compete! The Tournament was held in Des Moines, IA. Evelyn competed in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate and Daisy in United States Extemporaneous Speaking. After the tournament, TCS Debate Coach Mr. Aaron Marshall expressed his pride in the girls.
"For a first-time attendance at Nationals, they have done remarkably well," he said. "Evelyn pulled 6 ballots in LD, which is more than any first-time Natβs debater Iβve ever coached, and Daisy, as a freshman, missed advancing in Extemp. by a single round! I couldnβt be prouder of them, and Iβm excited to see them so revved up to return to Nationals next year!"
Way to go, ladies! ππ€
π¨NEW EPISODE ALERTπ¨ Trinity's podcast, "Mind and Heart," just released a new episode today, featuring Pastor Garrett Kell from Del Ray Baptist Church. Click the link (or head to anywhere you get your podcasts) to listen now: https://bit.ly/3vwA04W
Don't forget to subscribe so you never miss an episode!
In this episode, we sit down with Pastor Garrett Kell from Del Ray Baptist Church. Over the past few months, Pastor Kell and his family have walked through significant hardship. He has shared about that openly with the Trinity community, even sharing with our students in Upper School Chapel. In this episode, he talks with us about what he and his family have experienced in this season, how he has seen the hand of God through it all, and how we as Christians can have hope and faith even in the midst of great trials.
Last Friday, the "mini Gryphons" in our Lower School Cheer Camp performed their final routine in front of an audience of friends and family! The camp is led by TCS Cheer Coach Ms. Kelsey Daiber, and two alumni, Molly Murphy '24 and Abbie Stombres '22. As you can see, the performance was adorable, and the sweet interactions between the little Gryphons and the graduated Gryphons were priceless!
Happy ! At the end of each school year, Trinity hosts a Grade 6 Promotion, in which we celebrate students who will officially move from Lower to Upper School when they enter Grade 7 next school year. Shortly after promotion, these students also learn into which house they have been sorted in Trinity's Upper School house system: Veritas, Fortitudo, Caritas, or Fidelis. Each student was given a bag that contained a bandana in the corresponding house color. When the students pulled the bandanas out of the bags, they ran to join their fellow housemates in the stands, who cheered them on! Trinity's house system creates smaller communities within the Upper School to ensure that every student is seen, known, and loved! π§‘πππ
Congratulations to House Veritas for winning the coveted House Cup this year! This means that of the four houses in Trinity's house system, House Veritas accumulated the most house points over the course of the school year! We're so proud of these students for the excellence they've displayed all year long!

During the last week of school, we celebrated the huge achievements of two of our athletics teams with a special parade in the arc! We celebrated our Varsity Golf Team for winning the VISAA DII State championship and our Varsity Cheer Team for winning the CCA National Championship! Upper and Lower School students lined the sidewalk to cheer on these teams as they touted their hard-won trophies! Congratulations to these remarkable student-athletes for all they accomplished this year!
In one of our last chapels of the year, Trinity held a "Prayers of Gratitude" open mic, in which Upper School students and faculty members had the opportunity to publicly thank the Lord for his abundant faithfulness and blessings.
"Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!" - Psalm 107:1
to the PTO's annual Father-Son Campout! This year, the event was held May 4-5 at Loft Mountain Campground in Shenandoah National Park. The foggy weather didn't keep these sons and fathers from connecting with one another and sharing in the joy of the great outdoors! Thank you, PTO, for providing so many opportunities throughout the school year for families to grow closer with each other and with other families in the TCS community!
In the last few weeks of school, Lower School had a blast during Field Day, a day filled with games on our turf fields and in the gym! Activities included tug of war, sharks and minnows, capture the chicken, scooter relay, soccer, and more! We loved watching these little Gryphons enjoy some well-earned fun at the end of a rigorous school year!
As promised, here are more pictures from Commencement! We couldn't be prouder of this class for all they've accomplished, and we look forward to seeing all the amazing things they will accomplish in the future! ππ€
When the weather turns warm, Lower School science teacher Mrs. Wise takes her Grade 6 students outside to plant a vegetable garden on campus! In this annual activity, students get their hands dirty as they study botany, learning about plants, soil, and even bugs!
In the last few weeks of school, fourth-grade students wrapped up a special project: each student created a puppet and used it to present on a famous American in history! Students got to flex their creative, research, and presentation skills all at once and loved seeing each other present! We're so impressed by these adorable puppets!
"Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep." Romans 12:15
On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Yesterday we said a final "goodbye" to this year's graduating class at Commencement! We promise, more pictures will come! For now, join us in congratulating and praying for these amazing students as they begin their next adventure!
Last week we celebrated Grandfriends Day, a day when grandparents and friends visit campus for a Lower School concert and art show! We love our grandfriends, and it is a joy to see them beaming with pride as they catch just a glimpse of the amazing things these little ones are learning every day at Trinity!
A few weeks ago, Dr. Thomas ate lunch with three different groups of Lower School students as part of the "Lunch with the Head" auction item from Trinity's social and auction earlier this year. He loved getting to spend this special time with these little Gryphons!
Last week, our students got yearbooks! While seniors got them the Friday before everyone else, all of our students, from kindergarten to Grade 12, enjoyed looking back at a wonderful year together at Trinity! Well done to our Yearbook students for putting together an amazing publication! ππ
Today, our seniors returned to campus for their Senior Breakfast and Senior Walk, two traditions that honor and celebrate these students as they get ready to officially graduate next week! Stay tuned for more photos from this special day to come...
Say hello to your new D2 VISAA State Golf Champions!β³οΈπ
On Monday, our incredible Varsity Golf Team made Trinity history by winning the VISAA State Championship! A special congratulations to Chris B., team captain and only senior on the team, for achieving his personal best score, making an eagle on hole three, and ending the season and his high school golf career with such an amazing game! We couldn't be prouder of our boys for bringing home this huge victory. Join us in celebrating their state win, undefeated season, and humble sportsmanship throughout! Well earned, gentlemen! π
It's hard to believe, but today is our seniors' last full day of school! In the days and weeks leading up to their graduation, we've been celebrating and saying goodbye to them (though there are more celebrations and goodbyes to come). Last week, there was a Senior Goodbye Assembly, in which several seniors spoke, praying for their upcoming plans, sharing their testimonies, reflecting on the past, and casting vision for the classes below them! This morning was the Senior Awards Assembly, in which seniors were honored for exemplary achievements in various scholastic endeavors! We are so proud of every single one of our seniors!
Recently, junior and senior girls competed against one another in the "Powder Puff" flag football game while senior boys acted as the coaches and cheerleaders! The rest of the Upper School students watched from the sidelines, laughing at the boys and cheering on the girls! Congrats to the senior girls for winning! ππ
This week was Teacher Appreciation Week and our amazing PTO did it again! They blessed faculty and staff with five days of blessings!
Their theme for the week was "Mahalo to our Tiki-riffic Teachers and Staff!" On Monday, they treated faculty and staff to leis, sweet treats, and tumblers filled with saltwater taffy and gift cards! On Tuesday they showered faculty and staff with love by collecting and displaying notes from families and providing snacks! On Wednesday, the PTO provided Tropical Smoothie and a raffle! Today, on Friday, they had a Kona Ice truck parked outside of OHS so faculty and staff could come by and take a mini vacation!
Words cannot express how thankful we are for these amazing TCS parents who bless our faculty and staff, making them feel ! Thank you, PTO!
to Performing Arts Cafe! This fun performing arts concert featured everything from jazz band to orchestra to choir and so much more! We love seeing these students show off all the hard work they've put in throughout the year!
