Today the whole school participated in the Laurel Ridge Veterans Day ceremony! What a wonderful way to celebrate veterans in our community and beyond. Special thanks go to our amazing 6th grade hosts and flag bearers, Ms. Patterson for singing the national anthem, the Chantilly Academy JROTC cadets, Ken LaPlante and Dan Allmacher from VFW Post 8469, and our guest speaker Commander Brian Smith (USN)! 🦁 🦁

Today we welcomed Mr. Lonnett to lead the school in our first Drop Everything And Reflect (DEAR) event of the year. Students and staff did a spectacular job reviewing artifacts and experiences that showcase their critical and creative thinking skills. A special thank you also goes out to our 4th grade co-host! Laurel Ridge's Military Kids Club had a great time creating their military branches tree this morning! Students created the tree itself and personalized leaves showing all the reasons they love being military kids! 🦁
