The PTA will be assisting with classroom snacks as our kids return to the classroom! We’ll be looking for volunteers to bring snacks to the school once we learn more about how many kids are returning and how many snacks are needed. Keep an eye out for sign ups soon!

Parents and Families—this year’s main fundraiser is the Fairfax Villa Elementary Dance-A-Thon Program!

Due to pandemic, instead of hosting our 4th annual Fun Run, we’ll be raising funds through Boosterthon’s Virtually hosted Dance & Fitness Fundraiser!

It’s a two-week program that kicks off virtually on February 23rd. Families are invited to gather pledges for every "minute danced" your student completes at the Dragon’s VIRTUAL Dance-A-Thon day, which will happen on March 5th. (This will be on March 3rd for grades 1 and 2.) This year our goal is to raise $10,000 for the 2021 wish list: continuation of courtyard classroom project, Positivity Project supplies, teacher appreciation week gifts, and even ukuleles for students! We’re going to need your help!

Students will also experience an amazing character theme emphasis, SPORTS CITY NOW! Booster’s most exciting theme yet teaches students how to navigate social-emotional awareness by learning from real kid-athletes…just like them. While they’re teaming up with the Sports City Now team, our students will learn five character traits that will help strengthen themselves and our world.

There is no pressure to give, but we invite you to help our school by getting pledges from family and friends and entering them on FUNRUN.COM. This event will be hosted virtually, so whether your student is at home or in school, they can participate!

Parent Check-In Session on Virtual Learning and PTA Meeting Tonight!

As we are at the halfway point of the year, we would like to give parents an opportunity to get answers to questions they might have about virtual learning. Is your child having trouble with completing assignments? Would you like ideas about establishing routines and procedures at home? What’s going well for your child this far?

Join us at 6:00 this evening for a question and answer session to find possible solutions for you and your children! We will have sessions in English, Spanish and Arabic.

Technology Mini-Grant

Fairfax County Council PTA (FCCPTA) is pleased to announce our 2020-21 Student Technology Mini-Grant Program. Through a generous donation from the Fairfax County NAACP, FCCPTA is offering Fairfax County Public School students (in grades 3-11) an opportunity to obtain a $500 mini-grant for the purchase of a computer and/or technology-related device or equipment.

There are six (6) mini-grants available. In order to apply, the student or their parent/guardian MUST be a member of a PTA/PTSA.
