Scavenger hunt time in the garden! You never know what you might find hiding under the pumpkin leaves 🫑🥒🎃

As the end of the summer is approaching our harvest game is still going strong 💪!

Here are pictures of our rattlesnake and yellow fleshed moon & stars watermelon 🍉 😻! Do you have a favorite variety of watermelon?

Check out all the awesome shapes and shades of these little carrots we harvested on Tuesday! One even looks like it has legs 🤣👩‍🌾🥕. Very soon we will be selling our produce on campus every Thursday in the near future so stay tuned!

Yesterday we got to harvest our first cantaloupe of the season and we can see there are more to come 😻! We also have an abundance of little squashes, figs, and cucumbers!!!

Definitely one of our favorite parts of the summer is foraging around the garden for these cute watermelons 🍉! An easy trick to determine if they are ready to pick is if you tap the watermelon and you hear a deep hallow sound then it is good to go! Who else is growing watermelons in their gardens this summer!?

Last Thursday the STEP program students took a tour of the garden and volunteered with us. To say the least it was a very fun and productive afternoon, even though it was super hot 🥵. With all of your help we were able to get most of the garden beds weeded, seeds sown, and compost turned! 👩‍🌾
