Through AFYP's training, we hope to help our actors develop skills that will serve them in all walks of life, on stage and off. Our faculty is made up of working professionals in the industry – actors, directors and teaching artists who are constantly honing their skills through their creative endeavors and bringing those skills back to share with our students. Acting for Young People & Adults, Inc. (AFYP) was founded in 1997 and since 1999, the program has been sponsored by the City of Fairfax Commission on the Arts, as both entities had a similar goal of bringing high level acting training to families in the City of Fairfax and Northern Virginia area. In addition to Fall and Winter classes and Summer Arts Camps, AFYP offers Scout badge workshops, one-on-one coaching, and specially tailored in-school programs.
