Thank you to all the participants who attended the 165th Anniversary Commemoration of the 1st Battle of Manassas (Bull Run). Although it was quite hot and the weather provided us with severe storms at the height of our public programming, you all provided first rate living history programs which were well received by the visitors to the Manassas National Battlefield Park. Participants representing the 4th Virginia and the 69th New York walked the routes which each unit arrived on the field 165 years ago. Camps were established at the Stone Bridge (69th NY), Stone House (11th NY and 14th NY) and the Portici portion of the battlefield (4th Virginia) with Living History in front of and around the Visitors Center. Thank you to the staff of the NPS for working with CWHI to provide these programs to remember what happened at Manassas at the beginnings of the war.
Pictures were taken by many participants. Thank you all for doing so.
