Nova Labs

🍏Amazon Fresh just opened its doors this morning in Fairfax City, at the Point 50 shopping center, where hundreds of people stood in line at 7am!

This is the first full-size Amazon Fresh on the east coast to feature its "Just Walk Out" technology, allowing you to simply scan and skip the register (literally). 🍋🍓🥦🥗

Not only will Amazon Fresh deliver healthy, high-quality food to our community but they've also taken an interest in our local non-profits by donating to the The Lamb Center and Nova Labs

Freedom Bank puts its IDEAS into action to drive . When a DC-area non-profit 501(c)(3) organization wanted to purchase its owner-occupied flex office warehouse space, Freedom Bank facilitated an efficient and seamless process. Located in the City of Fairfax, Virginia, Nova Labs supports a wide range of open-source development projects that benefit both the local community and the world. At Freedom our experienced bankers find creative ways to help clients secure the capital they need to grow their business.
This weekend was the first phase of the Nova Labs moves. The Labs FRC Robotics Team built a bot to help out! Thank you to Joe Thompson and Ronit Pithani for your building and programming expertise. JK is committed to STEM education, for this is where technology innovation starts. We are are a proud sponsor of the Novalabs FRC and FIRST Robotics Teams!
Congratulations to our friends at Nova Labs on finding their next destination!
Such a great memory of how our community got creative and came together last year to help our neighbors. Thanks again, Oakton Cougar Robotics and Nova Labs for helping our clients, staff and volunteers get back to work in person safely during those difficult times.
We loved being a part of the Virginia Makerspace Day of Action conversation! There are so many great things happening in our state, and so much potential for more. Happy National Week of Making!

Thank you to our excellent speakers: Ilana Preuss of Recast City, Jon Stover & Associates, Alisha Meador of City of Lynchburg, Virginia Government, Hacksburg, Nick Swayne of JMU X-Labs, and Dorothy Jones-Davis of Nation of Makers, and our event organizers Elise Spontarelli, Jeanne Marshall of Nova Labs, Asma Chaudhary - Fine Artist & Sculptor, and Ryan Hall of Valley Makers Association for making this event possible! 👏🏽

Thanks for the shout out, Lake Anne Brew House! We’re excited to see the Cardboard Couture Fashion Show Friday evening, August 18th!

Today is ! But don't worry, other than last year when NOVA Labs made the "Kardboard Draken" for the Cardboard Boat Regatta, there aren't usually sea serpents in Lake Anne. Are you working on a boat? Or making something to wear in the Cardboard Couture Fashion Show the night before?

The Lake Anne Cardboard Boat Regatta and the Cardboard Couture Fashion Show in the same weekend? We’re all in!

Come join us!

Meg's kraft paper dress and Jenn's cardboard & duct tape hat kicked off the idea last year – it's the inaugural Cardboard Couture Fashion Show! Wear your best cardboard clothing creation, drink beer (we donate $1/pint to Reston Museum), and strut your stuff down the cardboard carpet. (also: packet pickup for Regatta boat registrants is 4-7pm)
