This 4-VA project brought together seven faculty members, nine student researchers and 100+ students in classes, producing beneficial results. Learn more at: https://4va.gmu.edu/

These ideals form the strong foundation that is 4-VA, a statewide initiative designed to encourage shared resources and cutting-edge thinking in support of furthering higher education in Virginia.
Together, we are stronger. The relationships we’ve built with our partner schools – James Madison University, Old Dominion University, University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Virginia Tech – bring valuable assets to bear on the challenges and opportunities facing the state University system. In the Venn diagram of 4-VA, each school leverages its unique strengths and resources to advance a shared goal. Combining the technological resources from one campus with the rich historical archives on another and the engineering expertise through a third can more effectively accelerate the pace of change and in the production of a final product than each working independently.
