PNS Alum Meredyth shares. "We love PNS! All three of our children went there. The teachers are wonderful, caring, and very knowledgeable about early childhood education. They do a great job keeping families updated, including sending weekly emails, holding parent brunches, and parent-teacher conferences. Being a co-op school, there is a lot of opportunity for parent participation and input, and a great sense of community."

The Littlest Tree has made its appearance in the Big Room. This is a holiday tradition at PNS in which families may choose to donate NEW hats, mittens, scarves, and underwear to be given to children in need in the area. These items should not be wrapped. Preschool sizes are needed, but older kids need items as well. The kids always enjoy decorating our tree with some much-needed gifts for those less fortunate.
The tree will be up through our last day of school before winter break, Friday, December 20th.

December 11, 2024: Beginning of in-house enrollment for current PNS families.
January 10, 2025: In-house registration deadline.
January 13, 2025: Beginning of enrollment for alumni and Church members.
January 17, 2025: Registration deadline for alumni and Church members.
January 22, 2025: Open House (school in session) and beginning of enrollment for new families.
January 23, 2025: Open House (evening)
January 31, 2025: Registration deadline for new families.
Applications received after January 31 are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Mid February 2025: All families are notified of their enrollment status (acceptance or waitlist).
March 1, 2025: Payment of advance tuition (May 2026 and half materials fee) is due for all new families.

Our 3/4s and 4s classes had a lot to feel grateful for this year! We are most thankful for our community of families who work year round to make Providence Nursery School the vibrant community it is!

Turkeys are taking over at PNS including in Ms. Millward’s 3/4s class. Learners have been exploring foods, and some are feasting this week. 4s Teacher Ms. Kelly reminds children that instead of saying “Ew” or “Gross” for foods they don’t like, children can say “No thanks, it’s not my taste”.

It’s the perfect weather to hibernate! The 3/4s class learned all about adaptation, migration, and hibernation last week. What’s your favorite vibrating animals?

It’s Picture Day today and tomorrow at PNS!

Sensory bins are tactile ways for children to play that encourage various skill development. They promote free-form play and offer a never-ending supply of chances for experimentation and learning. We have a lot of sensory options in the Big Room this week as well as in the classrooms!
