A Father’s Day morning to remember.

We gathered with fathers and children for a simple activity: building birdhouses together.

But before we picked up the paint and tools, we asked two questions:

Children: “What’s your favorite thing to do with your baba?”

Fathers: “What’s your favorite memory with your father growing up?”

The answers were beautiful.

Not one father spoke about how much money his father earned or what he bought for them. They remembered moments. Conversations. Adventures. Time spent together.

It was a powerful reminder that while providing for our families is important, our children also need our presence, attention, and companionship.

Throughout the morning, fathers and children worked side by side, helping one another, sharing stories, creating memories, and building more than birdhouses.

Because a bird builds a home one twig at a time.

And the moments we spend together build love that lasts a lifetime.

Wise Tree Collective has been awarded a $10,000 Microgrant from VELA Education Fund.

Grateful for the support and belief in work that helps children slow down, reflect, connect with nature, and grow in awareness, character, and care for the world around them.
