IFTA - Summer Institute for the Arts FCPS

Elementary Institute for the Arts (E-IFTA) is a vibrant weekly arts camp designed for elementary-aged students who love to sing, dance, act, and create! Each day, campers dive into four exciting classes in dance, music, theater, and visual arts, led by passionate FCPS fine arts teachers who create fun and engaging experiences. Watch your children’s imagination soar as they explore their creativity, make new friends, and discover the joy of artistic expression!

Camp day: 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Early drop-off at 7:30 a.m.
After-care available through 5:00 p.m.

All students are welcome:
FCPS students.
Students enrolled in private schools.
Students who are homeschooled.
Non-Fairfax County residents.

Bus transportation is available at no extra cost, helping ensure access for students across the region. Tuition assistance is available for FCPS families eligible for free and reduced meals.

We’re so excited to announce this summer’s Production Camp show… High School Musical 2! ☀️🎶

We’ll be producing the JR. version (slightly shorter to help us make the most of our four-week rehearsal process), and camp is open to current 6th–11th grade students.

New this year: we’ll be holding virtual auditions (due in early May) followed by in-person callbacks so we can cast the show before camp begins and hit the ground running! More details coming soon.

✨ Families are encouraged to register now rather than wait for audition results — your spot in camp is secured through registration, not casting.
