ITFDC - Infant Toddler Family Day Care

The ITFDC Office and Provider Homes will be CLOSED on Friday, 6/19/26, in honor of Juneteenth!

On Tuesday, ITFDC leaders Lisa Farinholt (Executive Director) and Tanya Miller (Board Member) had the honor of joining regional leaders, advocates, and employers at the Foundation First/ Ready Region North Central Early Childhood Education Briefing.

The discussion reinforced what we see every day: access to high-quality childcare is essential for children, families, and a thriving workforce and strong local economy. As conversations continue around expanding access and strengthening the quality of early childcare, ITFDC remains committed to preparing and supporting the skilled childcare professionals who make quality early learning possible.

By investing in the training and professional development of childcare providers, we're helping shape the future of early childhood education across Northern Virginia—creating stronger outcomes for children, supporting working families, and contributing to the long-term success of our communities.

Thank you to those who joined us at KOJAM's Taste of Woodbridge Event on Saturday! We had a wonderful time connecting with the community and sharing ITFDC's work to promote quality childcare in the Northern VA region.

We are honored to announce that Supervisor Pat Herrity has awarded ITFDC with the 2026 Childcare Provider Day Proclamation! At Infant Toddler Family Day Care, we remain committed not only to serving children and families, but also to advocating for family child care providers whose dedication makes early childhood education possible.

Together, we can continue working toward a stronger, more accessible childcare system that supports providers, empowers families, and helps our community thrive. Thank you to Supervisor Pat Herrity for his partnership and support.

Congratulations to one of our Child Care Providers, Mina Askaryar, for attaining her Infant/Toddler Certificate from Northern Virginia Community College and her Bachelors in Economics from George Mason University! We celebrate Mina's dedication to providing quality child care and her professional growth as an early childhood educator.

Thank you to Supervisor Pat Herrity for taking the time to visit our office yesterday. We are grateful for his tireless service for Fairfax County and we look forward to advocating for family child care educators across Northern Virginia together!
