In her post on the WLN: A Journal of Writing Center Scholarship blog, our outgoing Graduate Writing Coordinator Jenny Goransson reflects on how consulting with thesis and dissertation writers has helped with her own research and writing process. Jenny has been a vital part of our team the last three years, supporting countless graduate students from disciplines across Mason. Reminder for graduate students: we offer specialized appointments for thesis and dissertation writers!

Are you working on a thesis, dissertation, proposal, manuscript for publication, or any paper longer than 15 pages? Make an appointment with one of our thesis/dissertation consultants! In a thesis/dissertation appointment, you'll upload your draft by 9am on the day of your appointment so your consultant can read several pages ahead of time. We offer these appointments in all three of our formats--face-to-face, Zoom, or Written Feedback--though your first thesis/diss appointment would need to be face-to-face or Zoom so you and your consultant can have a conversation about your writing goals and needs.

To make a thesis/diss appointment, click on "Thesis & Dissertation Consultations" in the link in our bio. We're excited to work with you!
