Each year St George’s Preschool offers a few weeks of summer camp between the end of the preschool year and the end of the FCPS school year. This year we are pleased to be offering a second round of camps at the end of the summer as well!

Camps run M-F (excluding FCPS holidays) from 9:15am-1:15pm, and students bring a bag lunch with them to eat together. We spend as much time as we can outdoors, and each week has a fun and engaging theme. The last week of camp will be run by our wonderful parent church, St. George's UMC. Registration for Summer Camps will be available on Monday, March 10th!

The Frogs are off to the races! While learning about healthy snacking, they also threw in a little healthy movement 🏃‍♂️ 🐸

This month’s Frogs dramatic play area is a pizza parlor! We love how role play encourages creativity, social skills, and problem-solving in these young minds ❤️🍕

Sensory play is an important part of play-based learning. The Bees 🐝 dove into shaving cream this week, practicing writing letters and drawing with their hands and various tools.

We love having Chapel with Pastor Drew! This week we talked about how much we love and care for our favorite stuffed animals, and how God loves and cares for us with just as much love ❤️

Our hearts were FULL today celebrating Valentine’s Day with crafts, special snacks, stories of friendship, and exchanging cards 💕☮️

FCPS schools and offices will close three hours early on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Athletics and activities are canceled.

UPDATE 2/11/25 at 1:12pm: SACC programs, located in both FCPS buildings and NCS community centers, will now close at 5 p.m. NCS administration requests that families plan to pick up your child(ren) as soon as possible, and no later than 5 p.m. If there are extenuating circumstances and you are unable to pick up your child(ren) or make arrangements for your child(ren) to be picked up by 5 p.m., please notify your SACC center as soon as possible. Centers will remain open until all children have been picked up.

We had the best visit from dentist Dr Sara this week! We learned about how dental hygiene is important, and practiced how to brush and floss on her dragon friend. 🦷 🐲

Friendly reminder that St George’s Preschool is celebrating its 25th anniversary this Saturday, January 25th, 2025, from 4-6pm! The weather is frightful...but the soup and fellowship will be delightful! Please come to SGUMC tomorrow night (Thursday, 23 January) to warm your feet, stomach and soul with good warm food and fellowship between 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. Free Community Dinner and ALL are WELCOMED!!!
