In our Prepper class, we dedicate time to practicing cutting with scissors. But why is this important? Cutting with scissors is a developmental milestone that aids in building essential fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and bilateral coordination. These skills are vital for everyday tasks such as writing, buttoning clothes, and tying shoes. Additionally, engaging in cutting activities promotes creativity and enhances spatial awareness.

Our Leap interactive program is a unique part of our curriculum that allows children to touch, trace, tap, drag, and write. They can create using the Happy Apps and interact with real-time videos, exploring the world right from the comfort and safety of their classroom. Observing our children in various aspects of their learning helps us understand how they retain information best, enabling us to prepare them for the upcoming years of their lives.

Our Little Engineers enrichment program provides age-appropriate kits for our little learners to use to
participate in problem-solving activities that encourage creativity, perseverance, and real-life application
skills. Children will work through challenges and tasks individually, in pairs, or as a team, leading to the
strengthening of relationships and social-emotional regulation.

Our February diversity motto is “My mind is built to change the future!” 🌎🧠

Congratulations to our Preschool 1 teacher, Ms. Caroline, for being named February's Teacher of the Month! Ms. Caroline infuses excitement and fun into every activity she designs. She thinks creatively and enriches her lessons with enthusiasm. Ms. Caroline has been a wonderful addition to our Fairfax Family.

At The Learning Experience, it's important for us to teach our preschoolers about sinking and floating. This activity introduces them to basic scientific concepts like density and buoyancy in a fun and accessible manner. It fosters curiosity, observation skills, and critical thinking. Additionally, hands-on exploration with water and various objects helps develop their vocabulary and language skills. This foundational understanding of science sets the stage for future learning.

The Learning Experience LEAP interactive program provides our children with the opportunity to elevate their educational experience by engaging with their lessons interactively. This innovative approach allows students to actively participate in their learning, making it more engaging and effective.

Through interactive activities and hands-on experiences, teachers can closely observe how each child processes and retains information. This insight helps educators identify individual learning styles, enabling them to tailor their instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.
