Under bright skies and warm sunshine, a picture-perfect day set the stage for Prairie Lutheran School’s Second Annual Golf Invitational at the Mayflower Golf Club outside of Fairfax. A group of 92 golfers, along with many dedicated volunteers and donators, helped make the Golf Invitational a successful and memorable event.

To open the event, Pastor Paul Meitner gathered everyone in a spirit of warmth and gratitude, leading the group in prayer.

When all the golfers had finished two teams were tied for first place. Team 1: Stephanie & David Hanson; and Amy & Tom Rogotzke and Team 2: Dave Firle, Elaine Grosklags, Travis Loverude and John Kiecker.

With first place on the line, both teams stepped up for an exciting chip-off to break the tie. The winner of that meet and the winning team of the Second Annual PLS Golf Invitational were the Firle, Grosklags, Loverude, Kiecker team.

Other Tournament Winners:
• Skins (The player with the sole lowest score on that hole wins the skin): Two winners: Larissa Selbrade and Janel Schweiss
• Joe Mages: Won a cooler full of prizes as he was the only golfer to hit a golf ball through the hoop.
• Women’s Longest Drive: Jenna Kindt
• Women’s Longest Putt: Anna Kiecker-Doehling
• Men’s Longest Drive: Josh Antonsen
• Men’s Longest Putt: Paul Roberts
• Closest to pin on 2nd shot: Michael Rider

Prairie Lutheran School, the PTF, and the event organizers sincerely thank all golfers, volunteers, and donators for their generous support. Special thanks to the Albrechts and the Mayflower Golf Club who hosted the golf event. We used every single cart they had available.

Dear PLS Families - if you are interested in attending tomorrow's movie, we still have room on the bus! We have attendees from all three towns. We will be stopping at all three locations as stated on the flyer.

We have had multiple inquiries regarding Activities/Stem Camp.

For clarification: Due to the construction happening at the PLS Fairfax Site, there will NOT be Activities Camp/Stem Camp this year. We do not have water or restroom access.

Please join us on Monday August 3rd at Registration for free swimming, as well as Tuesday, August 11th for the movie event. Both activities are listed on our page.
