On Wednesday we had the absolute joy of welcoming back some of our former students who are graduating high school this year from Woodson and Lake Braddock! Seeing them walk our hallways again in their caps and gowns brings back so many wonderful memories.

We are so proud of them! Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 🎓

Our 2nd graders became mini-entomologists today as we dove deep into the world of bees. From examining a real hive (don’t worry, no roommates included!) to learning how these fuzzy friends help our flowers grow, it was un-bee-lievable day of hands-on-learning.

Big cheers for our Kindergarten mathematicians! 🎉🧠. Our kindergarten students won the ST March “Math”ness competition, beating out Mr. Blake’s 6th grade class in the final round by completing the most puzzles- what an incredible achievement! 👏✨ Way to go, mathematicians!

We are on spring break! We hope everyone has a relaxing and fun break! We will see you all back at school on Tuesday, April 7th! ❤️🌸

A huge thank you to our amazing PTA for bringing the Didgeridoo Down Under: Protect the Planet assembly to our students! 🌎🎶. Through incredible world music, stunning visuals, and interactive science, students journeyed from the birth of the universe to the age of dinosaurs and learned how we can all help protect our planet. It was an unforgettable blend of music, earth science, and environmental learning!

Happy Camp Read-A-Lot Family Literacy Night! A huge thank you to Mrs. Carroll, Mrs. Maenz and all the volunteers for putting together this event. Our students and families enjoyed shopping at the Book Fair and traveling through our literacy “campsites” exploring hands on reading and writing activities at each station. It was a night full of stories, smiles, and family fun! 🏕️📚

We are so excited to announce that Little Run was awarded an grant for our Little Run News Show! Our students are putting our updated news show equipment to great use as they build confidence, creativity, and real-world media skills! 🎤📺🎬

Yesterday we had our Quarter 2 (delayed because of the snow days) house meeting! Students worked together with a student from a different grade to color in the shield that represents their house! It was a great morning of community building 💛💚💙❤️

100 days smarter and feeling the love! 💯❤️ Our students celebrated the 100th Day of School with fun activities, creative projects, and lots of big smiles - 100 days of learning, growing, and shining bright! ✨📚 We also shared the love on Valentine’s Day that reminded us how special our school family truly is 💌❤️
