Today is our 1st anniversary 🎉🎊
A year ago today, we decided to officially form this organization, the first Indonesian Students Association at GMU 👏🏼

It is official! INSTA GMU new president for 2020-2021 is Eveline Hamadi 🙌🏻👏🏼

Eveline is from the eastern part of Indonesia called Papua, she is in her fourth year and majors in Psychology.
She will officially start her duty as INSTA GMU President starting from October 10th, 2020.

Purpose of Organization
To connect all of the Indonesian Students and students who are interested in learning more about Indonesia at George Mason University and to promote Indonesian language and cultural understanding to the George Mason Community.

Requirements:
1. Candidate must be an Indonesian citizen
2. Candidate must be enrolled as students of George Mason University with a minimum GPA of 2.75
3. Candidate must have an active I-20 in Fall 2020 until Spring 2021 from GMU or INTO GMU
4. Having prior experience as a board member in any student led organization is preferred but not required. Having the enthusiasm and motivation to lead will suffice.

Job Description:
1. The president is the main representative of the organization with the University. The President is responsible for leading meetings and organizing events with the officers for the Indonesian Student Association
2. Encourage participation of Board members and organization members, and unite them inside the organization
3. Establish a positive environment to preserve the mission of the organization for the benefit of the students
4. Maintain close relationship and continuous communication with PERMIAS DC
5. Cultivates any opportunities that are in conjunction with INSTA GMU Mission.
