Congratulations to our GBW alumni who will be graduating with the class of 2026!

We want to give a big thank you to Educate Fairfax for funding our project, Giving Every Student a Voice Through Assistive Technology.

This grant allowed us to purchase communication devices for our students in a special education classroom at Greenbriar East Elementary. Seeing our students use them has been amazing. Some couldn't wait for their turn, some giggled with excitement, and many listened closely to the recorded words and phrases as they explored the devices.
Most importantly, our students now have a way to communicate. They are able to answer questions by pressing buttons and express their wants and needs using the devices. For some of our nonverbal students, this has opened up new opportunities to participate in classroom activities and interact with others more independently.
We are truly grateful for your support and for investing in our students. Thank you for helping give our students a voice. ❤️

GBW takes pride in our beautiful school and we are constantly looking for ways to brighten our halls. This year our Mural Club just finished their newest mural for our hallways. A special thank you to Whitney Landry (staff sponsor) and our Mural Club students for sharing your artistic talents on your 2025-2026 mural! We will cherish this new wall mural as it helps to celebrate our Panda Pride for many years to come!
