Dear Music Teacher Friends,
Mike Drennan and I wrote a method book that starts in Concert C for some of our programs that do strings and band instruments together. It's paced slow because it's of course a little harder to be in that key for everyone, and also we start our kids young. The book is finally fully published in a print-and-play version at tolbertmusic.net/methodbooks
If you are interested in a sample, please PM me and I'll get you one. If you are interested in purchasing for a program, let me know and I can get you a discount. We'll want to know your student count so we aren't just selling 1 digital pdf and then having it printed a zillion times, and appreciate everyone's good faith on that account!

One more recital vid for now - this is the awesome Aidin Hoffman. Aidin began in first grade and is a rising eighth grader. Extremely high level playing for his age - well done Aidin and congratulations on a great performance!

Here come the recital vids from earlier this month. Here we have a viola student who began learning about 2.5 years ago. She was a 1st grade beginner and has about 1.5 more years in her learning before most of her peers will even be allowed to touch the same instrument. I'd say she's ahead of the game!
