I am thrilled to announce that Moed Fairfax/מועד פיירפקס: A Jewish Afterschool Community will be hosting an exciting new summer camp program at Gesher Jewish Day School during the week of June 16.

This summer camp is designed to bridge the gap between the end of the school year and the beginning of most day camps in the area. It will provide a fun and enriching experience for your children, filled with engaging activities and opportunities for them to learn and grow.

I invite you to enroll your child in our summer camp and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity learn and practice their conversational Hebrew and create lasting memories. If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected].

Shavua Tov from MoEd Fairfax!

We are so excited to kick off our Spring Enrichment classes! All Classes are held after school at Gesher Jewish Day School from 3:45 - 5:00 pm. Classes are open to all kids grades K-4.

🌿 Mondays: Nature Arts and Crafts
We’ll explore the nature around Gesher, start a Nature Journal, learn new Hebrew vocabulary, and create exciting projects inspired by the outdoors.

⚽ Tuesdays & Thursdays: Spring Soccer
Coaches Ephraim and Sammy will lead us in a fun and engaging soccer program, incorporating Hebrew vocabulary and learning about Israel’s deep love for the game—all while building on the skills we developed in the fall!

🍽️ Wednesdays: Israeli Cooking
Get ready for a delicious journey through Israeli cuisine! We’ll be making Borekas, Shakshukah, Couscous, Hummus, and of course, Falafel, while learning about their cultural significance in Israel. This is one class your kids won’t want to miss!

🍞 Fridays: Kabbalat Shabbat & Challah Baking
No need to buy challah for Shabbat—we’ll be baking our own as we welcome Shabbat together in a warm and meaningful way.

Attention Gesher Parents: What are your kids doing tomorrow while Gesher is closed for the staff workday?

MoEd will be open tomorrow, February 7th from 8am - 5pm for a full day of fun. We will have basketball in the gym, art activities, games, a movie and challah baking and it looks like we will be able to spend some time outside! Classes are taught by our Daniella and Alona, our Israeli Shinshinyot. Your kids probably already and know and love them from Olam Tikvah Religious School and/Gesher Jewish Day School.
