Staff Pick is back! We are excited to bring you monthly Staff Picks from some of our awesome, hardworking George Mason University Libraries staff members! šŸ’ššŸ’›

Our first Staff Pick of the semester is brought to you by our Teaching and Outreach Specialist, Anna Murphy-Lang! As a Teaching and Outreach Specialist, Anna promotes and manages library events, workshops, and outreach programs at Fenwick Library. She is also a library instructor and is in charge of the Recommended Reads collection and exhibits at Fenwick Library (check it out on the first floor).

Anna has selected ā€˜Love Languagesā€™ by James AlbonšŸ“š ā€œIt is a 2025 graphic novel about a q***r romance between two women, Sarah who is British and Ping who is from Hong Kong, who bond over their struggles to learn French while living in Paris. I love the beautiful watercolor art and the way this novel explores how lonely it can be to live in a country where you donā€™t know the language and the relationships that are built around that experience.ā€

Are you looking for a title we donā€™t currently carry at the libraries? We welcome suggestions from Mason students, faculty and staff for materials to be considered for purchase to add to the libraryā€™s collections. Check out the link in bio šŸ”—
