This is where I spent the toughest but the most rewarding school year of my career as a teacher. Teaching is such a noble job; we not only teach academics, but we teach values. Working with precious, smart, opinionated, determined, autistic students has taught me what life has failed to teach me for years. It taught me patience, compassion, understanding, resilience, LISTENING AND MORE LISTENING. Talking less, and acting more.
Unfortunately I had to leave for personal reasons, but hopefully I left a small imprint in a very intense fast-paced world, where learning doesn't occur every now and then, but rather every single second of the day.
