Things are getting colorful around here this year. 🌈

We’re embracing color like a fresh box of crayons—bright, fun, and with plenty of room for everyone—and we want you to jump in on the fun!

🎨 Stop by the PTO table during Open House to grab your fresh Silverbrook T-shirt for $15. We’ve got:

Joining the PTO does not mean you’ve signed up to volunteer, attend every meeting, or somehow become responsible for the bake sale until graduation. 😂 It simply says: I’m here. I care about this school. And I want to help make this school year the best one yet.

We are in search of a few volunteers to help sell t-shirts at Open House this Friday, August 21!

In particular, we could use an extra hand between 10:50-11:30 am, but welcome help at all points during the Open House.

As the first day of school rapidly approaches, Silverbrook staff are already back in action prepping to get each student back into the school year swing. Yesterday morning the PTO set up a back-to-school breakfast and supply bar for teachers and faculty, who gathered to kick off the 2026-2027 school year.

Speaking of supplies–if you happened to gather any extra supplies while prepping your children’s back-to-school bags, the PTO is collecting donations for Silverbrook classrooms. When you come to Open House this Friday, feel free to bring any extra items you’d like to share with the school to the Silverbrook t-shirt sales table and we’ll ensure they get to classrooms across Silverbrook. As always, thanks for supporting our Seahawks!

Calling all Seahawks! Join us at Chuck E. Cheese in Fairfax next Friday, August 14 from 12:00-6:00 pm. Whether your family is looking to escape the heat, grab lunch or dinner, or simply spend a little time with friends before school starts, it's a fun and easy way to support Silverbrook while forging memories with your fellow Seahawks.

We’ve all been there: the school year has just begun and yet somehow that favorite, brand-new lunchbox has already vanished into thin air. Calling all rising kindergarteners! We’d like to remind you about a great upcoming opportunity the school has planned for you. Silverbrook’s Principals invite you and your families to join them on the playground this coming Monday for a special welcome to the Seahawk family. Don’t miss out!

Monday, August 10, 2026
9:00–9:45 a.m.
Silverbrook Kindergarten Playground

*Please note, if there is rain the event will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Rising kindergarteners will have time to enjoy free play along with a few fun, organized games led by Silverbrook’s administrators. This relaxed event is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to begin making connections before the first day of school and get acquainted with the school environment.

We made it! Wishing everyone a wonderful last day of school. Don’t forget—food trucks will be at the school during plthe early release today if anyone would like to purchase food!

The Silverbrook Social Committee is hosting a Food Truck Pull Up for the last day of school from 11-3:30. The trucks are reserved for teacher lunches from 11--1:30, and the public is invited to purchase food from 1:30 to 3:30!

Yummy85.com and Brando's Ice Cream will be on site to serve those interested in purchasing food.
