We're interested in the ins and outs of 3D design using traditional materials such as clay, wood, wa S.L.A.G. Metal is not our only medium though.
stands for Sculpture Learning Arts Group, the sculpture club at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Slag is also a byproduct of melting ore, a process we do in the UAF sculpture class and the UAF sculpture club. We are also home of "Ironed Out," our yearly iron pour which started in summer of 2013. Our second iron pour was March, 2014 and we also pour bronze and aluminum. A few of our members also

Want to make your very own iron cast? SLAG has an iron pour today at 350 Goldstream Rd from 11-3
For $10 you can create an easy scratch block and take home your own unique cast piece!

Welcome back to school everyone! The UAF sculpture club will be holding our first meeting of the semester Friday, September 26th at 1pm in the sculpture studio (Art 302).
Tomorrow we'll be pouring iron out at Jon's Machine Shop in Fairbanks together with the UAF Sculpture Program!
