It’s summer TOUR TIME 🎉

LARS is open for the summer season 😄

Our front gate will be open daily from 9:30am-4pm for the summer. Tours are at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm. No reservations needed for groups less than 10 people- we recommend arriving about 15 minutes early to secure tickets for your desired tour time.

Come meet our muskoxen, reindeer, and wood bison and learn all about them from our LARS tour guides.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Arctic Research Open House! We were excited to welcome more than 660 community members, students, families, researchers, and partners together for an evening of connection, discovery, and Arctic science.

A special thank you to all of the individuals and groups who supported, staffed, organized, and participated in the event. Your time, energy, and enthusiasm helped create a meaningful experience that showcased the incredible research and collaboration happening across UAF and beyond.

We also want to congratulate our prize winners for participating in this year's AROH Seed Starter challenge, and thank everyone who participated throughout the evening. We appreciate everyone who helped make this event such a success and look forward to continuing to share Arctic research with our community!
