This week, our school community came together for the Mass of the Holy Spirit — with our Jr./Sr. High students celebrating on Wednesday and our elementary students celebrating today.

A longstanding Jesuit tradition, the Mass of the Holy Spirit marks the beginning of a new school year as students, faculty, and staff ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom, guidance, and inspiration in the year ahead.

🔤 Kindergarten in Action!

Our kindergarten students are hard at work learning their letter sounds in a hands-on way! From feeling their vocal cords, to practicing tongue placement, to looking in the mirror to see what each sound looks like—learning is coming to life.

These young learners are building strong foundations as they discover how each letter sounds. It’s amazing to see them connect each letter to its proper sound and to see their excitement to learn!

🌱🥕 From the School Garden to our Community! 💚

Last week, our 4th and 6th grade students rolled up their sleeves and helped harvest an incredible 198 pounds of fresh produce from the school garden! Everything they collected was donated to the Fairbanks Community Food Bank to help local families.

We love seeing our students experience firsthand how a little hard work, care, and teamwork can grow into something that serves others. 🌻🥬🥒

📚✨ A special morning for our Kindergarten and 1st Grade students!

We were excited to welcome local author Susan Ringstad, who has a special connection to our school community as both the wife and mother of alumni. She shared her children’s books, Borris the Bear Wears Underwear and The Moose Who Wanted to Mush!, with our students this morning.

The kids loved hearing the stories straight from the author — and the excitement continued when each student received a copy of one of her books to take home! 💙📖

A big thank you to Susan for spending the morning with us and helping make reading even more memorable for our youngest students, and to her sister-in-law, Celia Ringstad ’82, for generously purchasing a book for every Kindergartener and 1st grader!
