UAF was well represented at tonight's Class of 2026 Awards Ceremony at CSU.
Drew received one of only two "Gentle Doctor" awards, and Jaylin was presented an award for Excellence in Pathology from the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP). Jaylin is also a member of Phi Zeta, the sole honor society for veterinary medicine in the US.
Congratulations to both of you on these incredible achievements! We're so proud of you! You are an inspiration to us all.

We're thankful for Dr. Snyder of Polar Eyes Veterinary Ophthalmology, who shares his expertise with our students every year. Always a fascinating and student-favorite lab experience! 🐾👁️
Making sure the UAF-CSU Veterinary Students get to see their first glimpse of a feline retina during our annual ophtho exam laboratory in Fairbanks. While we start to teach the basics of a retinal exam, there is a mirror on the front of Dr Snyder’s headset that allows students to see exactly what Dr Snyder is viewing. This usually leads to many “Woah!” reactions when the colorful tapetum and retina come into focus!
