Hi, my name is Lisa ! I run an in-home daycare & have been providing childcare for 18 years in the interior. I have a current letter recommendation available in parent packets along with other valuable information.

I provide meals, snacks, & drinks daily. We do basic learning activities, crafts, baking, painting, etc., & I also help with potty training. The kids get limited TV time (Friday movie), outdoor play weather permitting, & my yards are fenced in for safety. My home is very clean, safe, & welcoming for children of all ages. I have 3 full time spots.

I also provide before & after school care, summer care & on call care. There are currently openings available for summer break as well.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with possible earlier AM hours if needed.

If a child can master a tablet, a phone, or a game controller, they can also learn how to hold a broom, mop a floor, and wash a few dishes.

Helping around the house isn’t a punishment—it’s preparation. It teaches responsibility, respect for shared spaces, and the understanding that everyone plays a part. Chores quietly build confidence and pride, planting the simple but powerful thought: I can take care of things.

We didn’t learn these skills because we loved them. We learned them because they were part of everyday life. And in time, those small responsibilities shaped our work ethic, independence, and gratitude. Screens may sharpen reflexes, but real-life skills shape character—and those lessons last a lifetime.
