After four faithful years at the helm of the Literacy Council, today is Lucie's last day! We've been fortunate to have her steadfast leadership through some big chapters, and we'll sorely miss having her in the office from day to day. Her kindness and thoughtfulness have carried us through again and again, and for that, we'll always be grateful!

Lucie, best wishes from all of us as you embark on your next adventure! You've been an invaluable asset to LCA, and our community is better for having had you here! Thank you!! 🥰 📚

The Literacy Council of Alaska is looking for dedicated volunteers to empower adult learners as they work toward earning their GED or improving their English through one-on-one tutoring and small-group classes. Your time can help someone gain the skills they need to earn a diploma, secure a better job, support their family, and achieve their goals.

Volunteers Needed:

As we gear up for our fall class sessions, we want to celebrate by throwing it back to our spring end-of-session party! Last month, we gathered our students for a special kick-off to summer with a kicker bar and custom LCA Silipints to recognize their incredible hard work, dedication, and commitment this year!

Every time these students show up to study, they get one step closer to their futures. We’re so glad to get to play a part in helping them realize their potential and reach their goals, and we can’t wait to welcome them all back very soon!
