Happy Earth Day, Nooks! In our office, every day is Earth Day - but we always need to shout out April 22nd. Earth Day started as a way to mobilize and bring environmental issues to the forefront of our culture and concerns. Every day, we at the Office of Sustainability try to embody what it means to be eco-friendly and environmental stewards.

Thank you to everyone that engages with our events, our social media posts, and our mission of making UAF a little bit more green! We hope today that you take the time to go outside and reflect on what a beautiful place we live in, despite the snow.

Just a reminder that Friday, April 3, is the last day to turn in any Caught Green Handed tickets! Winners for our Caught Green Handed competition will be selected next week.

We want to give a huge thank you to everyone that has participated in Caught Green Handed and a thank you to the Nanook Eats staff for helping us distribute tickets!

It’s Giving Day and we are just 14 donors away from meeting our goal!

Today, we’re asking for your support to help us continue feeding hungry students and community members through the Wood Center Food Pantry. Every donation, big or small, helps us keep our shelves stocked and our doors open for those who need it most!

This year, we have TWO challenges for the UAF food pantry. If we get 40 unique donors a generous community member will unlock an additional $6k. Another community member will match the first $2,500 raised. All together that's $11,000 for the pantry if we can meet our goals! Please help if you are able.
