FCDM has received an amazing item from Ralph Glasgow/Howling Dog Saloon-Ms.Sherman’s tricycle! We were also gifted a never before published photo, taken by Trisha Brown, of Irene.
Stop by FCDM and see the tricycle up-close, as well as the exhibit highlighting the Queen of Fairbanks👑
Fundraising for the Irene Sherman statue continues. Information on the statue and how to donate is available in the Main Museum and Mining Camp👍

Drumroll, please!
"Irene" will ride again in the 2026 Golden Days Parade, Sat., July 25, from 10 a.m. to noon. The parade begins at the Carlson Center and roams toward the downtown core.
In preparation, Humble Roots brewery is inviting you to drop in on Friday evening, from 4-6 p.m. when Tricia Brown will be signing copies of "The Queen of Fairbanks." Stick around to help decorate the Irene Sherman float and see Irene's original trike up close! They're located at 314 Wendell Avenue, Fairbanks.
The float is sponsored by Humble Roots, The Fairbanks Community Museum, and Goldstream Sports! We are working to raise additional funds for the Irene Sherman Project: installing a (more than) life-sized bronze statue of Irene in a prominent downtown location. Your tax-free donation will help, small or large! See more at www.ireneshermanproject.com
