Pre-Calibration Sample Products - NISAR Data User Guide 02/28/2026

🛰️ NISAR Releases Over 100,000 New Data Products

The NASA–ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) mission has released more than 100,000 Level-1 through Level-3 L-band data products through the Alaska Satellite Facility DAAC.

This is the second data release since the satellite’s July 2025 launch, which expands global coverage and gives researchers the opportunity to refine workflows, explore time-series analysis, and begin integrating NISAR data into their science applications.

Data are available through Vertex and NASA Earthdata Search.

NASA Releases ROSES Call for NISAR DART Proposals!

NASA has announced a new Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) program element supporting the NISAR Data, Applications, Research, and Technology (DART) team.

NISAR will provide global, repeat L-band and S-band radar observations to study earthquakes, ecosystems, ice sheets, soil moisture, hazards, and more.

🌎 All L-band NISAR data will be freely available through the Alaska Satellite Facility Distributed Active Archive Center (ASF DAAC).

🗓 Step-1 proposals due: March 13, 2026
🗓 Step-2 proposals due: May 14, 2026

If you’re developing innovative science or applications using NISAR data, this is your opportunity to help maximize the mission’s impact.
