The Mill’s monthly challenge this month is Inktober! Every October, creatives around the globe participate in a challenge to draw everyday from a list of prompts. On the first friday of novemeber 7th, The Mill will host a gallery of works from the challenge. Submit yours! And come by and see others’ creativity.

Enlaces announces a Partnership Scholarship for students who value their cultural heritage and who plan to attend the University of Alaska in the fall of 2025. Enlaces will award a scholarship in partnership with a one-year partial tuition waiver from the President of the University of Alaska Systems. Awards are typically $1,500 for 2 consecutive semesters (fall and spring-totaling $3000 for the regular academic year). Students will have until June 30th to submit their application for the Enlaces Scholarship.

Join the “Beat the Heat” Fall 25 registration scholarship! This scholarship is for five full-time, bachelor’s degree seeking continuing students at UAF who register for Fall 2025 classes by Friday, May 16th at 11:59 pm AK.

Up to $1,000 will be awarded to apply towards tuition, fees, housing expenses at UAF or a combination thereof. To receive the award, students must register for at least 12 credits towards their degree requirements for the Fall 2025 semester. Students must meet SAP and maintain a CGPA of 2.00.

Financial aid will administer the drawing and verify whether students are eligible before they are notified.
