🌻 Salcha Grizzlies on the trail! 🐻

Our students had an amazing time today exploring Creamer's Field! We hiked through the open fields, trekked the woods, and made our way to the pond—spotting sandhill cranes and geese along the way.

A big thank you to our wonderful chaperones and staff for a fantastic day of outdoor learning! 🌻

Big news, Salcha family! 🍎✨

We are beyond thrilled to announce that Jessie Juhlin is officially stepping into the classroom as our new K/1 teacher!

If you’ve spent any time at Salcha Elementary, you already know Jessie. She’s been the heart of our library, a steady hand as district support, and a friendly, welcoming face to our kids for years. Watching her transition into leading her own classroom is going to be something truly special. Our youngest learners are in the absolute best hands!

⚠️ SAFETY ALERT: DOWNED LINES ON FALLS LOOP ⚠️

Please be aware that downed trees have taken down overhead lines along the Falls Loop section of the trail network behind Salcha Elementary School.

Important Notice:

Avoid Falls Loop: Keep children and all visitors out of the Falls Loop area until further notice.

Exercise Caution: Do not approach, touch, or attempt to move any fallen lines, wires, or trees resting against them.

Recreational Use: Please avoid this section of the trails for all recreational activities until the area can be cleared.

Borough authorities are being notified to assess the situation, secure the area, and clear the hazard.

🌎Earth Day: Promises from the Heart! ❤️

Mr. Salus’ 4th and 5th graders are showing our planet some serious love! 🌟

Each student combined art and writing to create these beautiful "Promises to the Earth." From protecting wildlife to keeping our waters clean, their creative displays are a wonderful reminder that big changes start with a small promise.

We are so proud of these thoughtful students. ✨
