This is exciting news! House Bill 10 to add a tenured faculty member to the UA Board of Regents as a voting member has passed both bodies of the legislature!!! Thank you to Rep. Carrick, Senator Kawasaki, and all the co-sponsors who supported this bill throughout the legislative process!!

JUNEAU, AK - Today, the Alaska Senate passed House Bill 10 on a strong bipartisan vote of 18-2. The addition of a faculty member to the Board of Regents has been a long-sought addition for many faculty and university stakeholders.
