And just like that, he's all grown up and leaves the nest. We said "See ya on the big one" to FF Jake Philips. He is transitioning back to his first department, North Pole Fire Department as a new firefighter. We hope he brings new skills, confidence and an eternal love for the job. Tok residents affected by the Mukluk fire can register for State of Alaska Individual Assistance (IA) until October 19, 2026.

63 individuals and families had registered for IA on August 28.
