Summer Orientation round one is this weekend!! ☀️🐻‍❄️

Admitted students begin their UAF adventure a little early with a side quest during the summer solstice, June 19–20.

Students get to attend the Midnight Sun baseball game (which starts at 10 p.m. !!), ride bikes to the local farmer's market in Fairbanks, enjoy the Midnight Sun Festival on Saturday, stay overnight in a real UAF residence hall and experience the bliss of Alaska's midnight sun.

🍂 UAF’s fall 2026 New Student Orientation is Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 20-23. Fall orientation is required for all new students taking in-person classes in Fairbanks.

🌞 Ready for an Alaskan side quest? Start your UAF adventure early with a Summer Orientation event — celebrate the midnight sun during the summer solstice on June 19-20, or join Fairbanks' longtime tradition of the Golden Days Parade on July 17-18.

Apply for the Emerging Scholars Academy this summer!

If you've joined Student Support Services (SSS) at UAF, you can also apply to participate in the Emerging Scholars Academy (ESA) — a free nine-day intensive summer bridge program for incoming first-year SSS students. You'll earn eight college credits, save over $2,000 in tuition and fees, and jumpstart your college experience. The program takes place Aug. 10-20. Apply now!
