Summer Orientation round one is this weekend!! βοΈπ»ββοΈ
Admitted students begin their UAF adventure a little early with a side quest during the summer solstice, June 19β20.
Students get to attend the Midnight Sun baseball game (which starts at 10 p.m. !!), ride bikes to the local farmer's market in Fairbanks, enjoy the Midnight Sun Festival on Saturday, stay overnight in a real UAF residence hall and experience the bliss of Alaska's midnight sun.

Mark your calendar! Two optional Summer Orientations AND your required Fall New Student Orientation are right around the corner.
π UAFβs fall 2026 New Student Orientation is Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 20-23. Fall orientation is required for all new students taking in-person classes in Fairbanks.

Apply for the Emerging Scholars Academy this summer!
If you've joined Student Support Services (SSS) at UAF, you can also apply to participate in the Emerging Scholars Academy (ESA) β a free nine-day intensive summer bridge program for incoming first-year SSS students.
