🌱 The Woodriver Garden and Orchard is planted! 🌱

Many thanks to Mr. Hensel, Mr. Armstrong, Bear Mountain Nursery, Alaska Fruit, and the students, staff, and volunteers who helped bring this project to life.

The goal is for students to be involved in all aspects of planting, maintenance, harvest, and processing. Mr. Hensel is currently watering the transplants and seeds. Hopefully, this is the final labor that happens outside of regular school hours. Please resist the urge to water and w**d this summer; we want to cultivate hardy plants and seeds.

The garden renewal was funded by the State of Alaska’s Department of Agriculture Micro-Grant for Food Security funded by the United States Department of Agriculture and the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District.

Thank you to everyone who helped grow this exciting opportunity for our students and school community! 🌻

What a paws-itively wonderful way to wrap up the school year! πŸΎπŸŒβ˜€οΈ

It was so great seeing so many of our Wolf Pup families at our annual Last Day of School Picnic. Thank you for helping us celebrate an amazing year filled with learning, laughter, and memories!

We also want to thank everyone for their patience during the hot dog line. We discovered a mix-up with our food order while we were cooking, and we truly appreciated your understanding and kindness.

Wolf Pups, we hope you have a fun, safe, and adventure-filled summer! We can’t wait to welcome you back on August 18th when school resumes! πŸ’™πŸΊ

🚲 What a beautiful week it has been! Bike to School Week has been a beloved Woodriver tradition for 18 years, and we wrapped up the week with 153 participants this morning.

A huge thank-you to the parents, teachers, and staff who help make it all happen. It is always so much fun seeing our Wolf Pups soaking up the sunshine, staying active, and smiling with friends before the school day even begins. What a great way to start the morning! 🚲
