Thank you to the United Methodist Church in Fairbank, Readlyn EMS, and Fairbank Fire/EMS for helping the Student Ambassadors host the fall blood drive. Sometimes it really does take a village... We collected 33 units of blood = $250 in scholarship funds to be awarded during the class of 2021 senior awards night.

All of the Student Ambassadors are participating in an Usborne Books Greeting Cards fundraiser to raise money for our large group events throughout the year (homecoming expenses, conference opportunities, group activities, etc.). Each box of cards contains at least 30 greeting cards and costs $30 per box. Our Student Ambassador group earns $13 for each box sold.

All orders and money are due by Monday November 2nd. When cards come in, Student Ambassadors will be delivering orders to you, or they will be sent home with your student.

This fundraiser is replacing the normal Homecoming week kickoff and dance fundraisers that were not held this year. If you have any questions, would like more information, or would like to place an order please reach out to one of the Student Ambassadors (they have a requirement to sell one box, and a goal to sell 5 boxes per student) or contact the Student Ambassador Advisor Andrea Buehler at [email protected].

The weather has put a damper on the Homecoming PARADE! We will not be traveling around the area due to the sprinkles/wet weather. We thank you for your support!!! Please share this post so our community members are aware of this change on such short notice!!!

The Wapsie Valley 2020 Homecoming court will be visiting all the area towns tonight!!! Step out and say hello!! Parade routes are in an earlier post.

It is Homecoming WEEK! We will be crowning our Homecoming Royalty on Thursday night during the Community Pep Rally. This event starts at 7:30 PM and is being held on the Football Field to promote social distancing.

Not able to make it? The school will be live streaming the event.

Still want to see the candidates up close? There will be a Homecoming Candidate parade on Saturday October 3rd. The parade will start in Fairbank at 5:00 PM, travel to Oran, Readlyn, and Klinger. Step outside, wave, and show some love to these 10 AMAZING Seniors!!!

The Junior Class Student Ambassadors completed their community service project this month. They assisted the Readlyn EMS by folding fundraiser flyers and stamping, addressing, stuffing, and sealing envelopes. These students completed 600+ mailings and earned 2 Silver Cord hours!

In efforts to provide our high school students the opportunity to make some awesome memories and still be able to maintain social distancing among their peers, the Student Ambassadors are hosting an evening of Powder Puff Football instead of an indoor dance this year.

The girls will have the opportunity to play flag football, while the guys coach the teams and become cheerleaders.

There are many opportunities for students to be active in this event if they cannot or do not want to play or be a spectator.

More information will be shared with students during the week!
