Happy “early” Birthday to our beloved school administrative secretary, Mrs. Bresolin! 🎉💜🎂

Mrs. Bresolin is truly the heart of Saint Mel and wears more hats than we could ever count! From welcoming our families each morning and caring for our students, to answering a million questions, keeping all of us organized, solving problems, handling the unexpected, and always knowing exactly what needs to happen next!

Our students absolutely adore her, our families depend on her, and our faculty and staff simply could not imagine Saint Mel without her. She is the calm in the chaos, and one of the people who makes our school feel like home. 💚

Thankful Tuesday! ☘️❤️

Today, we are especially thankful for our 2026–2027 Saint Mel Student Council, who were officially inducted during Mass on Friday! 🙏

These students have answered the call to lead, serve, and represent their classmates with pride. We are excited to watch them grow as leaders, bring new ideas to our campus, and help make this another incredible year at Saint Mel.

🎨 Art Day Monday with Ms. Campoy!

Our TK artists had so much fun exploring primary colors by painting over taped initials—then tomorrow, we will be peeling them off to reveal their special letters! ✨

We talked about the first letter in our names, the sounds they make, and why names start with capital letters. Then we got creative using pom-poms and Q-tips to make colorful dots and fun textures.

Hands-on learning + creativity = a great day in TK! 💛

📚 Learning in Action in 6th Grade!

Our 6th graders were hard at work today with Ms. White! In History, students explored how historians and archaeologists use clues and evidence from the past to learn about early humans and better understand how people lived long ago.

They also put their ELA skills into practice, strengthening their writing through organized note-taking, identifying key information, and turning what they learned into clear, thoughtful written responses. ✏️

We love seeing our students make connections across subjects while building the critical thinking, reading, and writing skills they’ll use all year long! 💚💙📖

Our 8th graders are putting their faith into action! 💚☘️

As part of their Friday Service Learning Project, our Class of 2027 spent time giving back to our local community by helping clean and beautify Montview Park. 🌳🧹 From picking up and caring for the space to working together as a team, our students showed what it means to be responsible stewards of the community around them.

We are proud to see our Fighting Irish learning that service isn’t just something we talk about—it’s something we live. 💚

🍧☀️ 5th Grade is LOVING Snow Cone Day! ☘️💚

Nothing beats a sweet, icy treat on a warm day—especially when you get to enjoy it with your classmates! Our 5th graders had the best time cooling off, laughing with friends, and making some fun memories together. 💚🍧

🎨 First Week of Art with Mrs. Wilkinson! 🦋

We had a great first week in the art room! We started by going over our classroom rules and expectations, but of course, we had to make time for a little creativity and fun too!

Our 6th graders colored butterflies and then challenged themselves to camouflage them around the art room. Some students did such an amazing job that their butterflies were almost impossible to find! 👀🦋

It was a fun way to kick off the year, get creative, and start making the art room our own. I’m looking forward to a wonderful year of creating with these artists! 🎨✨
