Happy World Health Day!
Did you know that every year there's a new Annual Theme and Slogan of the Year? For instance, last year WHO(World Health Organization) had a slogan "Building a fairer, healthier world for everyone". And a year before, in 2020, it was “Support nurses and midwives“ to support the work of Doctors and nurses from the CoronaVirus COVID-19 outbreak. How do you think what's the slogan of 2022?
The slogan of 2022 is "OUR PLANET, OUR LIFE". Learn more here https://www.paho.org/en/campaigns/world-health-day-2022 about World Health Day, how to stay healthy and make our planet a better place to live 🌎

Indoor Activities to Make Your Toddler a BusyBee
All the kids are very active in their young age, especially around 16+months when they can move around the house and do their discoveries. But from our experience as educators, and you parents know it for sure, it is so hard and challenging to keep their attention longer than few minutes. But it is not bad at all, that's the way children develop and discover the world at their early stages.
Keeping toddlers entertained indoors can be even more tricky as they tend to want to flit from one thing to the next. They also tend to want to do things that you don’t necessarily want them doing!
The key here is to be prepared. To have a list of go-to toddler activities that can keep them occupied indoors and you can have ready for them within minutes.
1. Drawing
Well, kids r not actually ‘drawing’, but scribbling. It’s fantastic for improving his fine motor skills, and they learn how to hold a crayon pretty well. This will be beneficial for future academic exercises in a pre-k and k.
2.Bubble Blowing
You can even get a little machine and use it both as indoor and outdoor activity.
3. Music Making (let's be honest it's NOISE making ha-ha)
You can do musical instruments, signing or dancing.
4. Hide and Seek
You can play hide and seek with toys, pets and siblings.
5. Story Time
Favorite activity of every child! If you add a hand puppet it can turn into a drama!!
6.Stickering
So simple, sedate and relatively mess free. (though kids ‘might’ try to eat them sometimes).
7. Playdough
As long as you’re away from carpet, Play Doh is easy and mess-free, too!
8. TICKLING!
9. Tea Party
Everyone would take a break to have a cup of tea!
10. Sorting, mix & match
Sensory bin is amazing fine motor skill expertise. You do not necessarily need a professional bin as we use in centers, you can have a medium tap-ware with rice and toys that you have at home. You can find lots themes for your sensory bin free on Pinterest.
We hope this was useful for you! What is your favorite indoor activity for your toddler?
