Plasma and serum may look similar, but they’re not the same. 🩸🧪

The key difference? Clotting.

🔹 Plasma comes from blood collected with an anticoagulant and contains clotting factors.
🔹 Serum is obtained after the blood has clotted, so key clotting factors are consumed during the clotting process.
