A Look Into FFA

The Fair Grove FFA has many events planned throughout the year, some coming up are: the Fall Festival parking lots, Farm day, the Fall public speaking contest, and the National FFA Convention.

While there are not any awards that have been given out recently, Matt Crutcher said, “The first opportunities that students will have for awards will be at National FFA Convention and Fall Public Speaking. National FFA Convention is the end of October and Fall Speaking is the beginning of November.” FFA will receive awards from these contests this year, at the area banquet towards the end of the school year.

New Eagle in the Nest: Kendra Freeman Feature

Fair Grove Middle School had a change in staff after previous secretary Tina Cantwell’s departure last year. Fair Grove has welcomed Kendra Freeman as the new middle school secretary.

Freeman expressed her gratitude to be a part of such a welcoming and loving community. She stated, “The work environment has been wonderful. I knew it already, but being a part of the day to day of the school has made it very evident to me how much the administration, as well as the teachers and staff care about their students.” She added, “It’s very encouraging to work with people who love what they do. Being part of a team has always been something I’ve loved and I’m really enjoying this one.”
