Fair Grove R-X School District Fair Grove R-X School District is a PK-12th public school located approx 15 miles N. of Springfield. Fair Grove is located 14 miles North of Springfield.

It is a bedroom community of Springfield with over 60% of its residents traveling to the Springfield area to work while living and raising their families in this small, rural community. There are 529 households with 1,393 citizens within the Fair Grove city limits which is 3.2 square miles. Fair Grove residents pride themselves on the heritage of the community and support of the Fair Grove school system. Fair Grove R-10 School district services PK-12 grade students with the Elementary, Middle School and High School all located on one large 57+ acre campus. Student enrollment is currently: High School (grades 9–12): 374 students; Middle School (grade 5-8): 330 students; and Elementary (grades PK-4) 423 students, for a total of 1,127 students. Student admission is based on residency within the district boundaries which span across 82 square miles of parts of four counties: Greene, Dallas, Polk and Webster. There are 5,671 people in 2,192 households within the Fair Grove School District.

This month, we’re proud to recognize Mariah Embry, one of our preschool teachers at Fair Grove Elementary!

Mrs. Embry brings a bright personality and positive attitude to our school every day. She truly cares about each child and family she serves and goes above and beyond to help them feel welcome, comfortable, and connected.

Families shared how much they appreciate her frequent updates, willingness to answer questions, and the care she puts into making their child’s first school experience a positive one. Her dedication helps our youngest Eagles grow while giving parents confidence that their children are loved and supported.

FGHS Teacher Proud Tuesday winner for October is Mrs. Stephanie Brown!
Mrs. Brown builds meaningful relationships with students and encourages them to use their gifts in positive ways. Her classroom is a place where students feel comfortable, valued, and supported. First graders had an apple-solutely fun day of hands-on learning! Students taste-tested different apple treats, labeled the parts of an apple, and even made their own homemade applesauce. 🍎🥄
