Hello, PTO families! 🎃🍂

The Fleetville Fire Company was a wonderful supporter of our PTO at Family Music Fest, and we’d love to return the favor by providing PTO volunteers for the pumpkin painting stand at the Fleetville Fall Fair!

📅 Saturday, September 12
⏰ Volunteer times available from 9:00 AM–6:30 PM
🎪 The fair runs from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM, with volunteers also needed before and after for setup and cleanup.

Even one hour of your time would be incredibly appreciated and helpful!

7th Grade Orientation Reminder

Just a friendly reminder about 7th Grade Orientation! We're excited to welcome our incoming 7th graders and families on Thursday, August 20 at 6:00pm. Please enter through the main entrance of the high school and move to the auditorium.

This event is designed to give our incoming 7th grade students all the information they need to begin the school year and quell any nervous feelings.

Please remember to bring any questions you may have and arrive on time. We look forward to seeing you there!

📣 PTO Volunteer Clearances

Interested in volunteering with the PTO this year? We’d love to have you! ❤️🖤

Please remember that all volunteers must have the required clearances on file with the district before volunteering.

Visit the Lackawanna Trail School District website for complete instructions:

Required clearances include:

• Child Abuse Clearance — Free for volunteers
• PA Criminal History Background Clearance — Free for volunteers
• Fingerprint Waiver — Available for individuals who have lived in Pennsylvania for the past 10 consecutive years
OR
• FBI Fingerprinting — Required if you have not lived in Pennsylvania for the past 10 consecutive years

For new volunteers, submitted clearances should be less than one year old. Once completed, clearances are valid for five years.

If you’re thinking about helping at PTO events, field trips, school activities, or other volunteer opportunities this year, now is a great time to get your clearances completed so you’re ready when opportunities come up!

All EPI school supply kits have officially been delivered to classrooms! 🎒✏️📚

Just a reminder for families in grades 1–6: headphones and a computer mouse were not included in the standard EPI kits. These items were available as separate add-on purchases when ordering.

If your child needs either of these items—or needs a replacement during the school year—please plan to purchase one and send it in with your student.

🌳 Playground Volunteer Opportunity! 🌳

A huge thank you to LCBC Church for generously donating mulch for our elementary playground and coordinating a group of volunteers to help spread it! ❤️

They’ll be getting to work this Saturday at 9:00 AM, and we’d love to have some of our PTO families join in and lend a hand!
