FFA members braved the winter elements to attend a weekend of fun at Camp Oswegatchie! Students had the opportunity to snowshoe, cross-country ski,attend night hikes, play games and overall network and build friendships with other FFA members. A great weekend was had by all! Special thanks to Lowville FFA, Carthage FFA, Holland Patent FFA and Tully FFA for making this weekend so special!

At this past Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting, FFA officers Riley Delosh, Anya DiRienzo, and Cody Kadlubowski gave a presentation about the FFA convention they attended in October.

It was a great final full day of convention! We attended the expo, sessions and the rodeo! We finished the night with a costume challenge-each group had $20 to come up with a costume. Tomorrow we begin the journey home.

Special thanks to the rest of our north central bus tour for a great trip!

It was a fun filled day five! Today members spent the day at the convention expo - networking with ag business and meeting ag influencers! We ended the day listening to the top ranked Agriculture Issue Teams in the country.

Day four- the first day of the National FFA Convention and Expo. Today members spent the day exploring the convention expo, talking with agricultural industry leaders and colleges. Later we attended the first general session where we heard from keynote speakers and celebrated the accomplishments of FFA members from across the country! We even snagged front row seats! We ended the day having fun at Dave and Busters.

It was an action packed day 3 of our National Convention tour! We started the day in Kentucky at the Blue Grass Stockyards. We learned all about the selling and marketing livestock. Then we traveled to Hartfield and Co Distillery where we learned all about the science of distilling grain to make bourbon. From there we went to Claiborne farms where we toured around facilities that once housed famous racehorses such as Secretariat. Lastly we went to the University of Kentucky to learn about the college and the agriculture school.

Day two of our National Convention trip brought us through Ohio down to Kentucky. We started the day at Lynnwood Kennels where we learned about K-9 police dog training. We then went to Hobart Institute of Welding Technology to learn more about welding education and finished at Jungle Jim’s International Market!

It was a great first day of our National Convention tour! We made it to Sandusky, OH and stopped at Oakfield Corners Dairy in western NY along the way. Tonight we enjoyed the Ghostly Manor Thrill Center!

Our FFA members had a great time at the 100th NY State FFA Convention! FFA members were able to attend workshops and the expo, serve as delegates and celebrate 100 years of NY FFA.

A special congratulations goes to Hannah Wilbur for receiving her Empire Degree, which is the highest degree you can receive on the state level. We are proud of your hard work and dedication!
