Mr. Art’s weekdays are already filled with bass & drum students at Valotta Studios , so he’s opening up Saturday mornings in our Studio 13!

With more than three decades of music education & performance experience, Art brings a true lifetime of musicianship to every lesson here. A Philadelphia native and Downingtown resident, he began studying percussion at age 12 and went on to earn his degree in Music Education from West Chester University .

Art spent 28 years teaching instrumental music in the Chichester School District 🎶 directing concert, jazz, hand bell choir, and marching bands, inspiring generations of young musicians.

Today, he’s excited to continue doing what he loves most: helping students build skills, confidence, and a genuine love for making music. In addition to percussion, Mr. Art is an accomplished electric bass player and longtime performer in several local cover rock bands, including Kings No More & 4WayStopBand 🥁

find us lost in the school supply aisle, dare I say, bring on the fall?! ✏️ our group & ensemble classes have been released & there truly is something for everyone this upcoming season 🍂 Kindermusik® International with Aimee , adult art adventures with Amy Stephen & Amy Stephen , chess club with Keystone Chess Academy , middle school jam band with mr. john, children’s choir & a musical theater master class with ms. madeline & everything in between! 🎶🎭♟️

Jack Black would be proud of how much our jam band campers learned in less than 15 hours with mr. john, Valotta Studios rocked the patio today to kick off the weekend 🤘🏼 join in on the fun next semester with tuesday’s at 4:30 in the fall 🎶
