Church Farm School is an independent Episcopal boarding and day school for boys in grades 9–12 in Exton, PA. Home of the Griffins. Rise strong. Lead boldly.

Since 1918, we’ve forged excellence, character, leadership and brotherhood. The Church Farm School is a college preparatory Episcopal boarding and day school for boys in grades 9 through 12. Students take part in a rigorous academic curriculum as well as comprehensive athletics and arts programs. The School is not tuition driven, and families pay only what they can afford.

Citizen Printer opens September 18 from 5:00–7:30 PM at The Buck Family Center for the Arts, and this exhibition was never meant to blend into the background.

Come see it. Feel it. Talk about it. Admission is give what you wish, with proceeds supporting Church Farm School scholarships.

Today, Church Farm School marked the 25th anniversary of September 11 by honoring the lives lost and reflecting on the responsibility of carrying their memory forward.

On Wednesday, our community gathered for a special service that invited students to consider what it means to remember 9/11, hearing personal perspectives from school leaders, longtime members of the Church Farm community, and a staff member who helped clean up the wreckage in the aftermath of the attacks. That reflection continued today in the Chapel, where candles were lit, names were read aloud, and the bell tolled at six pivotal moments from September 11, 2001. The observance culminated with the entire school gathering in the Chapel, including a seventh bell honoring those who later lost their lives to 9/11-related illnesses and injuries, followed by more reflections from members of our community.

Twenty-five years later, we came together at The Farm to remember those we lost and to ensure that the meaning of September 11 continues to be understood by the generations who follow.

Our Griffins took the lead at this year’s Club Fair, sharing the clubs and activities that make student life at Church Farm their own. It was a chance for students to learn from one another and find new ways to spend time together beyond the classroom. The fair gave every student an opportunity to discover where they might fit in and how they can help shape life at The Farm. We can’t wait to see what they make of these opportunities throughout the year!

Color collides with type when Citizen Printer: Amos Paul Kennedy Jr. opens at The Farm on Friday, September 18. Kennedy’s unmistakable letterpress work turns words into art and print into something meant to be experienced, felt, and talked about.

This Labor Day, we celebrate the people whose hard work helps our community move forward. At Church Farm School, that spirit of dedication is reflected every day in the care and commitment that shape life at The Farm. We are grateful for all those whose work creates opportunities for our students and helps our community continue to grow. Wishing everyone a restful and meaningful Labor Day!

Yesterday, Church Farm alumnus the Honorable Axel M. Addy ’94 returned to The Farm and spent time speaking directly with students about the opportunities that will shape their next chapters. Drawing from a career that led him from Church Farm to international leadership as Liberia’s former Minister of Commerce and Industry, he spoke candidly about following an unexpected path while remaining grounded in his values. Mr. Addy encouraged our Griffins, particularly the senior class, to recognize the leadership already being asked of them and step forward with confidence. We are grateful to him for returning to campus and showing our students how a foundation built at The Farm can reach far beyond it.

Today’s Convocation brought the Church Farm community together to welcome the Honorable Axel M. Addy ’94 and the Rev. Canon Toneh Smyth.

During his address, Mr. Addy reflected on his own time at Church Farm and the lessons that shaped his journey beyond The Farm. Drawing on The Paradoxical Commandments, he called on our seniors to rise as leaders during this defining time in their lives. He also encouraged every Griffin to embrace the opportunities ahead with Kramer’s memorable words: “I’m out there, Jerry, and I’m loving every minute of it!”

As we begin another year at The Farm, may our students pursue excellence by rising to lead and choosing to do what is right...

Today’s chapel service centered on the meaning of welcome and the role chapel plays in life at Church Farm School. Dr. Baker and Ms. Scott answered student questions about why we gather for chapel and how this tradition helps create space for reflection, conversation, and community. Rooted in the tenets of the Episcopal Church, chapel is a place where every Griffin is welcome, regardless of his personal beliefs or faith tradition. Today’s service was a meaningful reminder that chapel is not about asking everyone to believe the same thing, but about making room for everyone to belong.

On Sunday, the freshman class headed to Rose Bridge Farm in Dresher, PA, as part of our Community Day programming. The Griffins got a closer look at life on the farm while meeting Highland cows, goats, sheep, and other animals along the way. More than just a trip off campus, the day gave the class another opportunity to spend time together and continue building connections as they begin their first year at Church Farm. Experiences like this help make the start of the school year memorable while strengthening the sense of community that defines life at The Farm.

Today, the Griffins gathered for the first assembly of the school year, bringing the entire community together to start the year with energy and purpose. Students heard about new opportunities and updates taking shape around campus as everyone settles back into life at Church Farm. The assembly also gave us the chance to celebrate Griffins who marked birthdays over the summer and make sure they received the recognition they deserved. It was a great way to begin another year of community, connection, and belonging at The Farm.
