If your child is already anxious about school… and it’s only July… that’s important information!

They’re not lazy.
They’re likely not unmotivated.
Probably not “just being dramatic.”

What we see is that some students in the middle and high school years already know what it feels like to spend seven hours in a place where they don’t feel seen, connected or supported. And their brain starts resisting it early in the summer!

As August gets closer, families start to reach out. The Sunday Scaries turn into the August Scaries. Parents wonder if this year will be different. Kids wonder if they can make it through another year of pretending they’re okay… and luckily… the families start to visit the farm!

We built The Commons for those families.

For the student who thinks better walking around than sitting in a desk.
For the students who lights up when they’re trusted with real work, having a job and a purpose!
For the teenager who has forgotten what it feels like to be excited to learn.

If your child is carrying that knot in their stomach about school already, we’d love to show you that another kind of college and career ready education is possible.

A place where students are known by their fun and wild teachers.
Where curiosity matters and real projects are completed every 3-4 weeks.

We have a few spaces available in our middle and high school (1 in middle school, two in high school) for this fall.

Come walk the farm with us. Sometimes hope starts with seeing that another path exists here in Kensington and Exeter NH!

While most of our programs are full and operating with waitlists, we still have two openings for high school students looking for something different.

If your teen would thrive learning on a working farm, cooking, traveling with peers, engaging in hands-on project-based learning, and building real-world skills in a small, supportive community, we’d love to connect.

Building Block Commons isn’t for everyone… but for the right student, it can be transformative.
